This page will show you how to get started configuring email notifications for usage-based alerts and usage reports.
Usage Summary Report
Usage Summary Reports are emails that provide insight into your usage. This allows you to keep a close eye on usage and can help identify patterns.
You can configure any combination of daily, weekly, and or monthly Usage Summary Reports.
- Daily summaries are delivered once a day and cover the previous day of usage.
- Weekly summaries are delivered each Monday and cover the previous week of usage.
- Monthly summaries are delivered on the 1st of each month and cover the previous month of usage.
To configure a Usage Summary Report, click the Usage Alerts tab in settings and toggle the switch for the delivery cadence you prefer.
Usage Alerts
Usage Alerts are real-time emails that are sent based on usage thresholds you define.
For example, you can set a usage threshold of 10% for the Person Enrichment API.
When a credit is used that puts your total consumption at 10% or more, you will be notified immediately. This gives you an opportunity to adjust your credit allotment before you run out of credits without having to create your own custom reporting.
Create a new usage alert
- Navigate to the Usage Alerts tab on the Settings page
- Select a product to configure an alert for*
- Enter a threshold amount between 1 and 100
- Click Add Alert
- The alert will be added to the table
*Free users can only add one alert for "All products"
Modify an existing usage alert
- Click the pencil icon in the Actions column for the alert you'd like to edit
- Enter a new threshold value
- Click the check mark icon to confirm the edit
Delete an existing usage alert
- Click the trash icon in the Action column
- Confirm the deletion
